Oklahoma City Recreation and Activities
The Oklahoma City area has a wide variety of recreational activities for everyone. The Oklahoma River hosts various water activities throughout the summer months. There are four major parks situated around the four corners of the city for those who enjoy a nice stroll in the park and Lake Hefner and Lake Overholster have many different trails for the hiker. There are also many races in the area throughout the entire year. The Memorial Marathon which is held in April to raise money for the memorial is perhaps the most popular, followed closely by the Race for the Cure held downtown each October.
