There are a wide variety of scenes that may be experienced in the Oklahoma City area. Museums are abundant and display much about the area's rich history. Oklahoma City is the scene of many different races that may occur on many Saturday or Sunday mornings including the Memorial Marathon which is growing in popularity each year. There are many rodeos in the area and between those and the Stockyards there are many cowboys seen in the area. The historic Bricktown district has many visitors as does the newly developed river walk. There are many musical shows which are presented in the area for visitor's entertainment.
Oklahomans love their sports and so if you are visiting downtown you are likely to see an impromptu parade or outburst of cheers if one of the popular athletes are in town. The ball park and convention centers are home to several different sports teams and so sports enthusiasts are abundant year round.
