San Diego Demographics and Statistics

The population for the city of San Francisco is an interesting mixture of whites and hispanics. According to the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population close to $1.3 million, in a land area of 372.1 sq miles. However, the urban area where people of San Diego live extends beyond the city's administrative limits and the total population in these region and the city comes around 2.8 million, this makes San Diego the third biggest urban populated area in California.

Whites make up the majority of the population at 60 percent, followed by 25 percent hispanics, 13.65 percent Asians  and African Americans at 7.8 percent. 33.35 percent of houses have an individual under 18. The males in the state represent 50.42 percent of the population, while the females represent 49.58 percent of the population.
