Phoenix Schools

More than 30 districts in the city of Phoenix provide public education. The Phoenix Union High School District operates and manages most of the public schools in the area. There are also some charter schools like the North Pointe Preparatory, Sonoran Science Academy and the Veritas Preparatory Academy.

The Arizona State University is the main place for higher education in the city. It has various locations where the campus has been created including Tempe, Northwest Phoenix, Downtown Phoenix and Mesa.

The Grand Canyon University is a private Christian university. While it was a non-profit organization earlier, it changed its status to for-profit later. There is also the Thunderbird School of Global Management and it is considered to be a leading college for global management.

Among the more specialized schools in the city are the Art Institute of Phoenix, Western Governors University, University of Advancing Technology and Collins College (Visual Arts).

And then there is the Phoenix School of Law that is a private law school.
