Shopping in Richmond

Richmond contains several trendy shopping destinations. The two major upscale shopping centers include Short Pump Town Center and Stony Point Fashion Park. Both of these large malls opened in 2003 and together cover about 1.8 million square feet of shopping area.

Short Pump Town Center is on Broad Street and has some interesting stores like Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillard's and Dick's Sporting Goods. There are also various specialty stores and restaurants on two levels. The Stony Point Fashion Park can be found south of the James River. This mall brought many new stores to the area including Anthropologie, Sur La Table and Louis Vuitton.

The other malls in the city include Regency Square, Willow Lawn, Virginia Center Commons and Chesterfield Towne Center. These are located in different parts of the city and include restaurants and most of the nation's large brands.

Besides the large malls, there are also places where locals shop. These include shops that can give you a flavor of the real Richmond. Carytown offers a large stretch of more than 300 shops. Stained glass, antiques, jewelry and toys can be obtained at Shochoe Slip, a place with various fashionable shopping areas.
