Orlando Hospitals and Medical Facilities

Since Orlando gained the status of a city in 1885, it has come a long way in terms of health care facilities. It has undergone a complete urbanization, housing many Fortune 1000 companies. At the same time it has taken care of its human resources by setting up state of the art health care facilities. It has two nonprofit hospital systems, Orlando Health and Florida Hospital. The Winnie Palmer Hospital for women and Babies and Florida hospital Orlando, have level III neonatal intensive care units. Orlando Regional Medical Center of Orlando Health has the level I Trauma Center of Florida. The medical structure of Orlando will further improve with the introduction of University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine and new VA Hospital.
