Orlando Demographics and Statistics

Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is also the seat of Orange County Florida. It is the third largest metropolitan area after Tampa and Miami, with a population of 238,300. According to the 2010 census, the White’s make up a majority of the population at 57.6 percent, followed by African Americans at 28 percent.

It has a very unique culture with people from many different racial backgrounds and origins living and doing business in the same city. The place also has attracted a large number of immigrants.  By 2035, demographers believe that Florida will have a Hispanic majority in terms of population.  The breakdown of demographics of Orlando shows the percentage of male and female population along with housing occupancy, level of education and time taken to travel to work etc.
