Louisville Libraries

The metro area of Louisville hosts a number of the premium educational institutions of United States. Students from all over the country as well as from other nations of the globe visit to complete elementary and higher educations. 

The Louisville Free Public Library is the largest public library in Kentucky. It started in 1908 with the branch in downtown Louisville. This main library at Fourth and York Street was severely damaged in 2009 when more than 3 feet of water came into the basement. Millions of dollars have been spent on building restoration.
